A Secret society, the Mephisto Club, together with some earthy law officers from Boston and about try to solve this problem. Ms. Gerritsen weaves a tight web with 'forbidden romance'... very capable characters and a surpise ending. Very entertaining and will keep you coming back for more. Especially if you like damaged characters and serial killers.
