Help the Library to break ground!
The Albert Wisner Public Library is planning a Groundbreaking celebration to mark the beginning of construction of the new Albert Wisner Public Library. This celebration is scheduled for Thursday May 29, 2008. The festivities will begin with a parade at 9:30 am stepping off from Forester Avenue and Church Street, marching up Forester Avenue and ending at the site for the new building on McFarland Drive. The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 10:30am.
The Board of Trustees of the Albert Wisner Public Library extends an invitation to the Warwick Community to dig in and break ground with them at this once in a century occasion.
The Board hopes that the community will march. Groups are invited to march too, the more the merrier! The parade will be lining up in the Georgia Pacific parking lot on Church Street Extension at 9am. Parking for marchers is available at the Georgia Pacific lot.
Those not marching please park at Veterans Memorial Park. Walk to the site on the trail located between the ball fields. The ceremony will begin at 10:30am.
To help the Board plan for the big day please let them know by May 15 if you plan to attend and if you and or your group plan to march. For questions or to R.S.V.P contact Kathleen Georgalas at (845) 986-1047 ext. 5 or by email at kgeorgal@rcls.org.
