Fragile Innocence-James Reston
When James Reston’s daughter Hilary was a toddler she contracted a high fever. Although she survived, she suffered severe brain damage. She could not speak or understand language. Her kidneys were damaged and she spent many years on dialysis until she had a kidney transplant. Fragile Innocence is the story of Hillary’s life and the story of how her illness affected her entire family. It chronicles the way Hillary’s life touched that of many others and how she was valued by those who loved her.
