Historians and adventure readers will delight with this non-fiction account of Teddy Roosevelt's adventure down the River of Doubt, a tributary of the Amazon River. Titled "River of Doubt" by Candice Millard, this well-documented account shows ex-president Theodore Roosevelt, his son Kermit , Brazil explorer, Candido Mariano and a band of natives travelling the unmapped, rapids-choked tributary. In the process, Roosevelt changed the map of the Western Hemisphere forever.
You will sit on the edge of your seat at times as the white men face obstacles beyond the imagination.
