What is living in the woods? How do you know what is there? This program will show how to differentiate between the works of man and the works of nature.
A modern classic, Housekeeping is the story of Ruth and her younger sister, Lucille, who grow up haphazardly, first under the care of their competent grandmother, then of two comically bumbling great-aunts, and finally of Sylvie, their eccentric and remote aunt. The family house is in the small Far West town of Fingerbone set on a glacial lake, the same lake where their grandfather died in a spectacular train wreck, and their mother drove off a cliff to her death.
Artist/Teacher Heidi Lanino Bilezikian and her students from the Hudson Valley Homeschoolers program, and Fine Arts and Creativity for Kids, welcome you to view their group show of Paper Self-Portraits and Art Books. The students were encouraged to create self-portraits and to tell a story about themselves through shape and design. Their hand-made Art Books provided a home for image gathering and an outlet for personal expression.
