(2016) Starring Colin Firth and Jude Law.   Biopic of literary editor Max Perkins centers on his relationship with author Thomas Wolfe. (2016) Starring Jason Lee and Anjul Nigam.  Growing Up Smith is the feel-good, coming-of-age story of Smith, a 10-year-old boy from India growing up in Small Town, America in 1979. As the boy's family tries to straddle the line between embracing the American Dream and preserving their Indian heritage, Smith sneaks out for a taste of Kentucky Fried Chicken, dons a Saturday Night Fever costume, and contends with his parents as they send him to school with a yellow squash instead of a pumpkin to carve for Halloween.  Rated PG-13; 103 min.

As an artistic movement, Impressionism began with an art exhibition of the French painters Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, and Camille Pissarro in the 1870s, in which their plein air paintings captured their "impressions" of nature, gardens and daily life, with their changing light, color and atmosphere. The discussion will briefly trace the roots of Impressionism with the original, captivating and colorful art work of Renoir and examine the breathtaking work of the great painter Claude Monet in its various stages.
