Join us for a "Meet the Artist" reception for Lorraine Sniderman and Liz Parkenson.  Their show "Les Art de Deux Amis" is currently on view in the Community Room and Gallery on the Lower Level.  The show features oils and watercolors by these two very talented local artists.

The Homegrown String Band performs original acoustic arrangements of the traditional music that has become part of the popular roots and folk rock canon. All the songs the band presents have stood the test of time by not only surviving, but thriving and flourishing for hundreds of years via the folk process and oral tradition. Many popular rock bands were founded by avid listeners and students of traditional music. People like Jerry Garcia and Bob Dylan were very well-versed in American blues and bluegrass as well as the folk traditions of the British Isles.

The smooth, fluid movements of Tai Chi have been practiced from ancient times as a means to calm the mind and rejuvenate the body.  In this six-week series, instructor Ron Gee will cover standing mediation techniques, Qigong exercises and basic Yang-style Taijiquan postures.
