Donald Urmston of the Adirondack Mountain Club will discuss how to get started kayaking, including equipment, where to go and other hints.  The program will be presented on Zoom; please register in order to receive the Zoom link prior to the event.  Don has been kayaking for more than 25 years.  He is certified by the American Canoe Association as a kayak instructor and guide, and has been guiding and teaching kayaking professionally for more than 15 years. 

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars.  Now, he’s sure he’ll be the first person to die there.  After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive—and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive.  Chances are, though, he won’t have time to starve to death.

Welcome back to the Pretty Committee's monthly Pinterest Party @ the Library!   We are heading outside to our back patio to create some fun, unique lanterns!   Please bring a mason jar with a lid or any other clear jar you might have (make sure labels are removed.)  We will provide the rest!
