Emerald Ash Borer and Other Tree Problems with Matt Doiron

Emerald Ash Borer:  what to do with your ash trees, and other problems that threaten your trees.  The Emerald Ash Borer or EAB, is a very small but destructive metallic green colored beetle with a coppery red or purple abdomen, native to parts of Asia. The presentation will cover options for ash trees and also look at threats to other tree species.

Matt Doiron is a shade tree commissoner for the Town of Warwick.

Learning Christmas Traditions,

We will read stories about the traditions of the Christmas season learning how other countries celebrate the holiday. We will also make jingle bell windchimes.

Psychologists and neuroscientists now know a lot more about Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) than in the past.  ADHD is not hyperactivity nor too much energy.  ADHD actually arises from challenges with executive functions, or the complex cognitive skills that include sustained attention (being able to stay focused even when things aren’t so interesting), response inhibition (the ability to control impulses), time management and emotional regulation.  Dr. Poggioli’s talk will focus on:
