NOTE : THIS PROGRAM IS FULL, RESCHEDULED FROM JUNE 29.
Where to begin searching for your family's roots? Local history Librarian Sue Gardner will show the basics of the two genealogy services the Library offers, and participants will be able to use their own laptops or the Library's equipment to begin their family tree research. Registration is required, and space is limited to 10 participants. If you are not bringing your own laptop, please bring a "jump drive" on which to save your search results.
Have you always wished you could be a designer on Project Runway? Come to the Library for a no-sewing-skills-required version, featuring our "Beneath the Surface" theme. Designers will have 5 hours to use recycled materials to create an ocean-inspired runway look.
Sign up to be either a model or a designer!
The runway show will begin at 7:00pm. Friends and family are encouraged to come and be audience members.
Allison Petrus-Wilkins will conduct a discussion of "The Fault In Our Stars" by John Green.
“What makes this novel compelling is not a thrill-a-minute plot but the authenticity of characters deeply engaged in trying to live ‘forever within the numbered days.’ John Green deftly mixes the profound and the quotidian in this tough, touching valentine to the human spirit.”
Come join us for a screening of "Do the Math", a film on climate change produced by 350.org. It includes the latest on climate change, including footage of their recent nationwide bus tour. See the film and stay for a discussion of the issues and what we can do about climate change. This program is sponsored by Sustainable Warwick.
