Adults and teens are invited to create a paper crafted book with Deborah Kittay-Hefler. If you wish, you may bring small items (no larger than 4" x 6") with which to decorate and personalize the album, but this is not necessary. Click here to see an example of what you will make!
The Performing Arts Institute under the direction of Paul Kwame Johnson, Actor/Mime/Director and Alexandria "Zan" Meyers, dancer/choreographer will present a workshop in traditional Marcel Marceau Mime Technique including technical exercises and improvisational work and a "Hip Hop Jazz" and "African Dance Workshop" accompanied by live African percussion.
Designed for teens 6th grade and up, this program is excellent for all levels of experience. If you have always wanted to draw cartoon characters in the style of anime or manga, this workshop can show you how. Teens will learn how to create the desired resemblance to characters by applying a few simple techniques. With a new and easy approach to drawing, teens will be able to draw with confidence.
