How understanding brain development helps us support the needs of children.

Deborah McNelis, founder/owner of Brain Insights, is an early brain development specialist. In this presentation, McNelis provides an overview of brain development from birth through adulthood. She will share insights about what developing brains need most for optimal learning, relationships, and behaviors throughout life. This workshop is designed for parents, grandparents, teachers, and interested community members seeking to better understand how to meet the developmental needs of our children.

Family Central is a non-profit parenting support network partnering with the Library and based in Warwick, NY whose mission is to strengthen the role of community in supporting the well-being of families and children.
