The Performing Arts Institute under the direction of Paul Kwame Johnson, Actor/Mime/Director and Alexandria "Zan" Meyers, dancer/choreographer will present a workshop in traditional Marcel Marceau Mime Technique including technical exercises and improvisational work and a "Hip Hop Jazz" and "African Dance Workshop" accompanied by live African percussion. Paul Kwame Johnson is a five-time Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts Director. He has appeared as a Mime artist at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully hall and three times at the Lincoln Center Out of Doors as well as on tour in the cities of Detroit and Los Angeles. He was the founder of the "Mime Time Players" Mime Company. Alexandria "Zan" Meyers has danced with Diana Ross, Ben Vereen, and Michael Peters (Michael Jackson's choreographer). She visits Africa yearly to study traditional african Dance and Drum. In Hip Hop dance she has choreographed for Ashanti, Busta Rhymes, and Chris Brown.
