This four session course will explore how the practice of mindfulness can help us greet ourselves and others with openness, curiosity and compassion.  Each class will include guided mediation practice and a Q & A session; attendance at all four classes is recommended.

Ruth Landstrom is a clinical psychologist specializing in life coaching. She earned a B.A. in music from Yale University, a J.D. from the University of Virginia, a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Adelphi University, and a CMC (Certified Mentor Coach) degree from MentorCoach (www.mentorcoach.com). As a lawyer, she worked both in government and on Wall Street. As a psychologist, she worked for six years at an outpatient clinic in the Bronx before opening her own practice in 2000.

Ruth integrates mindfulness meditation into all her work. She currently studies and practices meditation with the guidance of Narayan Helen Liebenson of Cambridge Insight Meditation Center (cambridgeinsight.org), and undertakes periodic retreats at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts, to deepen her practice (www.dharma.org).
