Ride along with local historian Alan Held as he explores the history of the Lehigh and Hudson River Railway in the towns of Warwick and Chester. Using the software of train simulator "Trainz," Mr. Held has created a replica of the L&H as it would have looked like in the 1930's including track, buildings, and topography. The presentation will include a ride on the virtual route as well as historic photographs, maps, and a demonstration on how the route was made. Rail fans, historians, and the general public are welcome to attend.

Alan Held is an historian with a lifetime passion for railroads and is associated with several local historical societies. Held is a 2013 graduate of WVHS and a 2017 graduate of Cornell University where he studied business. Following this presentation, Alan will continue his education as a Management Trainee for Union Pacific Railroad in Nebraska.

Free program open to adults, teens, and attentive older children.
