Family Central invites all new and expectant parents to join this support group to learn about infant care. Topics include feeding, sleeping, soothing and development in addition to the adjustment to parenting and balancing family life. Led by two experienced maternity nurses who are certified in childbirth education, lactation counseling and parenting education, this group will provide a place to meet other new parents and to learn the latest research information on infant care and child development.Paula Spector is a registered nurse with an M.S. in Health Education. She has over 30 years of experience and is a certified childbirth educator ICEA, a certified lactation counselor and NYSPEP Parent Educator Level II.Ellen Mahony is a registered nurse with an M.S. in Child/Maternal Health. She has over 30 years of experience and is a certified Childbirth Educator (Lamaze) and a certified counselor IBCLC.Family Central is a grassroots movement based in Warwick, dedicated to safeguarding childhood and supporting family life.
