    This course will provide an introduction to ASL, the third most commonly-used language in the United States.  The Manual Alphabet, deaf culture, basic vocabulary and grammar structure will be the program's focus, with the goal of acquiring the language on a conversational level.

    This is an eight-week course; attendance at all sessions is strongly encouraged.

    Entrepreneurs at early and later stage enterprises need to develop a sound plan for launching a business. They need to get involved with some or all of the following activities: write business models; create viable sustainable financial strategies; design and integrate internet, digital media and social media tactics; establish collaborations with academic and corporate resources; create global competitive analysis; synthesize intellectual property portfolios; devise competitive global sales and partnering relationships; prepare and introduce its clients to various funding sources and grant opportunities.

    This presentation will help you get started on the right foot and will help keep your expectations in line with the realities of the marketplace.

    Peter Lyons Hall is a graduate of Marquette University and has an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He has extensive experience in the wine industry and ran the New York market for Moet-Hennessy and the Robert Mondavi Winery. He was director of marketing for The CIT Group and served on the board of directors for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers and CONEXPO; he also served as director of marketing for McGraw-Hill Information Services. Peter then joined Nordstrom and launched their corporate services division. He has appeared on MSNBC and was a contributor to Men's Wardrobe, published by Chic Simple in 1998. He has written for TSNN, the leading trade show information resource in the US, and frequently provides information for northeast Public Radio station WAMC and TV News 12 Hudson Valley. He has been a frequent guest on Cablevision's Neighborhood Journal program, on Channel 78.
