Kick off Fall by dancing and playing this Wii game with friends.
Join our new sewing group! We will start with the basics - hems and seams - and will take it from there! If you have experience, come share your skills and join us for the social interaction. We will work on both personal items and group projects.
We are all actors in a real-time cultural and environmental drama. It can be scary and confusing, but also rewarding and incredibly creative, and we need hope and a vision. Susanne’s recently-published book, Deep Living, offers that vision. The author will talk about putting meaning and quality back into everyday life by creating win-win scenarios. This requires a shift in values, away from “profit above all” quantification, and our usual win-lose scenarios, to a value-based culture that is cooperative, sustainable, compassionate, and transparent. Deep Living urges readers to go deeper and imagine a good-for-all, not just a good-for-some, culture.
Music Socials are offered for people with early- and middle-stage Alzheimer's disease with their family caregivers. Certified Music Therapist Melinda Burgard leads the interactive groups, in which participants may explore music history as well as their own individual musical histories. Groups may play instruments, sing along or move to the music. Refreshments will also be served.
