Missed earlier introductions to nonviolent communication? Ready to look at conflict in a new way? Tired of disagreements, want more compassion in your life? Trying to strengthen your communication with others? Here is another chance!
NVC, or compassionate communication, is a new generation of human connection and peacemaking skills developed by psychologist Marshall Rosenberg. It's changing the way we think about conflict. NVC has been used internationally in political peacemaking efforts, and is the only communication skills training and practice that spans the globe.
Come learn about this transformative practice, which is for anyone looking to improve their relationships with themselves and others - parents, couples, your place of work, your community, or if you are distressed by the divisive tone of some public and private conversations. This interactive introduction, facilitated by a certified NVC trainer, will cover basic concepts and practices and will include open Q&A segments, as well as an experiential exercise.

Puja Thomson introduces her new book, Track Your Truth: Discover Your Authentic Self, which is designed to guide you to create your most meaningful life. We are so often easily distracted from truth because we listen to others and not ourselves. However, you can become a detective, following the clues within yourself that you may have ignored or overlooked, to discover what works - and what doesn’t - in your life. Puja will read excerpts and facilitate discussion.
Puja A. J. Thomson draws from extensive professional and personal experience as a holistic therapist, interfaith minister and workshop leader in her native Scotland and the USA. Other works include: After Shock: From Cancer Diagnosis To Healing, My Health & Wellness Organizer, My Hope & Focus Cancer Organizer, and Roots & Wings For Strength and Freedom, a guided imagery and meditation CD and workbook. She is director of ROOTS & WINGS in the mid-Hudson Valley of New York.
