From "The Great Migration, An Ameriacan Story" paintings by Jacob Lawrence
Using the art of Jacob Lawrence, art historian Diane Wilson will tell the story of the great African-American migration from the south to the north in the United States in the early part of the 20th century.
Through the book, "Show Way", we will explore the significance and tradition of quilts in African-American history. We will then make a quilt pattern-type magnet from paper and foam board.
