If you are a senior and curious about acting and would like to tap into your spontaneous, creative self join Ron Wiener, a community theatre director and sociodramatist from Leeds, England, for  his wildly popular “Play in a Day” workshop.  Described as “fantastic and fun,” “entertaining and challenging,” and “a brilliant day,” the workshop leads participants through developing characters and scenarios from their imaginations and experiences to improvising a play around common themes and roughly sketched out scenes.  (No prior acting experience is necessary and there won’t be a script, so you don’t have to learn lines!)  The workshop kicks off a new program of Community Improvised Theater, promoted by the Library and directed by Linda Richmond.

The "Play in a Day" will be performed at 3:30pm at the Library for members of the community!

Join us for the premiere of the "Play in a Day."  A group of senior improvisational actors will perform a play they created at the workshop earlier in the day.  Under the direction of theater director Ron Wiener, the actors developed the theme, scenario, characters and dialogue from their life experiences and imaginations to create this original improvised dramatic production.   This will be a unique theater experience for all!
