It's time to wrap up our teen summer reading program and say 'thank you' to all of our teen volunteers and summer readers.
You are invited to join our Writer's Group to improve your writing, receive honest feedback and to give encouragement to aspiring writers. New members are always welcome!
This group is for adult members only.
Participants will learn standing meditation, simple qigong exercises and some basic taijiquan postures. Classes are limited to 30; dress in comfortable clothing.
Join us for series of improvistional workshops to be scheduled throughout the summer under the direction of Linda Richmond. She will lead participants through developing characters and scenarios from their imaginations and experiences to improvising a play around common themes. No prior acting experience is necessary and there is no script, so you don’t have to learn lines!
A play developed from these summer workshops will be performed for the community at the Library in the fall. Please call the Help Desk at 986-1047, ext. 3 to register for the workshops. This program is open to all seniors residing the WVCSD.
Join Theo Meth for provocative discourse and stimulating conversation on the nature of the mind and the process of spiritual awakening. Using focused self-inquiry and guided Buddhist meditations, we will explore the blocks and pathways to personal growth and self-realization, piercing through layered beliefs and judgments to reveal an underlying universal truth.
Come to Library to play Canasta with other game enthusiasts. All skill levels are welcome. The group meets every Friday at 1pm. Questions? Please call the Help Desk at (845) 986-1047, ext. 3.
