Home Energy Makeover is for homeowners interested in energy audits (free if income is less than $166,800), which will recommend home improvements to cut waste and save money.
The workshop will provide detailed information about the New York State Energy and Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) program and the new on-bill financing.
To fill out the application on the spot, bring your most recent O&R utility bill or your account number. If you use oil or propane to heat, bring your most recent 12 months of usage. These are required for the NYSERDA application. You will be assisted in applying whether or not you have these bills in hand, so come and learn about this terrific opportunity. Completing an application is free and involves no obligation, but merely gives you a place on the list.
Teen Advisory Board will meet to suggest upcoming programs here at the library. Open to all 6th through 12th graders. Refreshments will be provided.
Join us for this showing of the film version of the popular 2009 novel "The Help," written by Kathryn Stockett. It tells the story of African American maids working in white households in Jackson, Mississippi during the early 1960s.
Participants are encouraged to read the novel, see the film and then join us on February 27 for a discussion of novel and its transition to film. Copies of the book are available at the Library.
