Grades K-2. In this fun book club we will read a book together and then discuss the story and the pictures. A craft or an activity will be included in this program.
Do you love to knit, crochet, embroider? Share your love of the craft with others. New members always welcome! Non-instructional, no registration required.
Monthly film screening followed by a discussion led by Mary Krauze. Share your thoughts about themes, characters, plots, etc.
In Erin Brockovich, an unemployed single mother becomes a legal assistant and almost single-handedly brings down a California power company accused of polluting a city's water supply.
Ages 4-8. Do you have your passport ready? We're off to see the world and enjoy some traditional stories, food and take home a souvenier. We will be visiting Italy during this session.

This lecture addresses the history of women as seen through the manipulation and controll of their bodies as documented by changing silhouette over a 400 year period. Audience members will be invited to participate in the hands-on-demonstrations. Questions to be answered include:
What is a bumroll?
What item of living room furniture was invented to accomodate the panier?
Why did Mrs. Bloomer invent the bloomers?
How many ribs were removed to achieve the hourglass silhouette of the 1890's?
