The Albert Wisner Public Library will host the Warwick Career Transition Group a job club that started in 2010 in response to a need to support individuals in their career transitions during a time of high unemployment and underemployment. The meetings are informal and provide the benefits of peer support and networking as well as occasional guest speakers. The group also meets on the second Thursday of each month at Christ Churc located in Warwick, NY. The group is open to anyone regardless of religious affiliation.
It's the Spy Lock-In! Sneak into our after-hours Library lock-in for some spy trivia contests, a book discussion, and a film. We'll be testing your agility in the balloon pit, honing your disguise skills, and more!
Please read Domino 29 prior to the event to join in the book discussion. Meet the author! Axel Avian himself will be here to answer your pressing questions about life as a spy.
Join us for a reception honoring our Vets of the Vietnam era. This is an opportunity for Veterans and their families to meet others in the community who served at that time and to see the Library's Tribute Display to these Vets.
Families of Vietnam Vets invited too!
Refreshments will be served.
Monthly film screening followed by a discussion led by Mary Krauze. Share your thoughts on themes, characters, plot, etc. Light refreshments served.
