Critical Thinking

This three part series demonstrates how to examine a statement using unbiased reasoning based on critical tools to help you reach a valid decision about its accuracy. Fake news, data analysis and personal prejudice are explored, discussed and practiced. Each session may be attended independently, but it is recommended to attend all three for full comprehension.

May 5, Session I: The bases of critical thinking: time, self criticism, listening, thoughtfulness.

 

May 12, Session II: The tools of critical thinking: skepticism, research, patterns, data, questioning.

 

June 26, Session III: Reaching judgements: curiosity, flexibility, synthesizing, predicting.
