As part of the Library's Earth Day @ 50 Celebration, Warwick residents JoAnn and Paul Dolan will outline the strategies and challenges involved in the successful campaign to save the 22,000-acre Sterling Forest from environmentally destructive development. The Dolans worked with many others in Warwick, Tuxedo throughout New York and New Jersey to forge a diverse coalition and a team of environmental experts. The presentation will include a "how to" component to help activists understand how to pursue successful preservation projects. Mr. and Mrs. Dolan are donating copies of key documents and videos about the history of the project to the local history collection at the Library so that open access will be available to those studying the forest and this important successful preservation project. Please register to reserve your seat.
