Join us on Railroad Avenue and meet 70 of the most distinguished authors and illustrators of children's books!  They are excited to meet their readers, chat about their work and show you their latest books, which will be available for autographing and purchase on-site. (Bring your own bag, Warwick!) Admission is free and the festival is open to all the young at heart.  Free children's concert at 12:00 on Railroad Green:  bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, if you like!  Therapy dogs will also be on hand to listen to children read their new books aloud, too.  A list of all participating authors and illustrators is on the Festival's website.

Rain location:  Warwick Valley Middle School - 225 West St., Warwick - 11am - 4pm. Ample parking is available!

Get in on this lively celebration of children's literacy, presented by AWPL and sponsored by children's literacy champions Glenn P. and Susan D. Dickes.  You don't want to miss it!

Looking for a place to go to talk through your frustrations about child rearing?  Here it is! Starting this month, January 2020 Family Central will begin a parenting book club/support group that concentrates on mindful parenting and open to anyone (parents, grandparents, teachers, and caregivers).  Come out to learn how understanding early brain development can foster a wonderful confidence in knowing you are doing what is best for the full potential of the children in your life. In the process get the "aha" insights that simply make life with children easier.

Our first book is Easy to Love, Difficult to Discipline by Dr. Becky Bailey will be available at this meeting.  We will discuss the book at our February meeting.
