Rachel Chaput will introduce the audience to homeopathy: what it is, a brief historical sketch, and the principles by which it works. The goal is to enable people to use homeopathy in a simple way at home, to heal acute conditions in a natural way, without pharmaceutical intervention. Ms. Chaput is a nationally certified classical homeopath. She graduated from the School of Homeopathy, New York in 2004 and has continued to study with many other teachers since that time. She maintains a small private practice out of her home in Warwick, NY and does Skype sessions with clients from a distance as well.Location:AWPL Community RoomAge Group:Adult, Teen

RESILIENCE is a one-hour documentary film that delves into the science of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and the birth of a new movement to treat and prevent Toxic Stress. Now understood to be one of leading causes of everything from heart disease and cancer to substance abuse and depression, extremely stressful experiences in childhood can alter brain development and have lifelong effects on both health and behavior.
However, as experts and practitioners profiled in RESILIENCE are proving, what's predictable is preventable. These physicians, educators, social workers, and communities are daring to talk about the effects of divorce, abuse and neglect. And they're using cutting-edge science to help the next generation break the cycles of adversity and disease.
Please come to the screening of this important documentary. Discussion will follow the film. Refreshments will be served.Location:AWPL Community RoomAge Group:Adult, Teen
