This course will include an in-depth exploration of mindfulness, with special emphasis on relaxation of both the body and the mind., Mindfulness – open, non-judgmental awareness – can allow us a deep sense of relaxation and peace, as we learn to let go of control for a moment and connect with whatever is happening just as it is.    Each class will include guided meditation practice, teaching, and Q & A, as well as optional homework.  It is recommended, though not required, that you attend all four classes if possible.

Ruth is a clinical psychologist specializing in life coaching, with private offices in Warwick and New York City.  She practices meditation and attends retreats in the insight meditation tradition, under the guidance of Narayan Liebenson, one of the guiding teachers at Cambridge Insight Meditation Center and the Insight Meditation Society.  Ruth has been teaching meditation in the Warwick area for over ten years.  Her website, which includes a short, guided meditation, can be found at www.hereandnowcoaching.com.

Were the Beatles really so much more than just 4 “Mop Tops”?  What made them such a strong musical force that they are still popular more than 50 years later?  In this presentation with Barry Wiesenfeld,  we will explore the phenomenon that was the Beatles!

Barry Wiesenfeld is an internationally respected and award-winning musician, a published author, and is on the music faculty of both SUNY and Ramapo College.  He has accompanied Grammy and RMI-winning artists, toured on three continents and performed on numerous recordings, radio and TV.  Barry is a resident of our Warwick community!
