Celebrate the season with a fall story about leaves and create a related craft. Ages 5-7
Come join Janet Baskerville for a relaxed afternoon creating this sparkly sun catcher pendant that can be worn around the neck, displayed in a bright window or given as a gift. Learn some basic wire wrapping techniques with minimal use of tools and you will have access to a large assortment of colorful glass beads. All supplies and tools included. Space is limited.
In honor of Native American Heritage Month: Windtalkers (2002): Stars Nicolas Cage, Adam Beach, Peter Stormare, Noah Emmerich and Christian Slater. During WWII, two marines are assigned to protect Navajo radiomen, who encode military messages in their native language. Rated R: 2 hours, 14 minutes.
Come and meet new friends and join in on a game that is played all over the world. Mahjong enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to play every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm. The sessions are open-ended and participants can play as many or as few games as they wish. Players with mahjong sets are encouraged to bring them, as the Library has only a limited number to loan. This program is free, ongoing and open to players from all communities.
