This three part series demonstrates how to examine a statement using unbiased reasoning based on critical tools to help you reach a valid decision about its accuracy. Fake news, data analysis and personal prejudice are explored, discussed and practiced. Each session may be attended independently, but it is recommended to attend all three for full comprehension.

Discussion leaders:  Roger Moss, Valerie Lucznikowska and Kevan Ottochian.

Session I: The bases of critical thinking: time, self criticism, listening, thoughtfulness.

Session II: The tools of critical thinking: skepticism, research, patterns, data, questioning.

Session III: Reaching judgements: curiosity, flexibility, synthesizing, predicting.
