Join Michael and Laurie Byro for an artist۪s reception on September 8th at 6:30pm, when they will explain their Byro technics of poetry and paintings. Michael۪s paintings, which grace the covers of Laurie۪s books, are on display at the Library during the month of September.
Laurie Byro has published 4 books of poetry. The latest, Wonder, just out of Wales, is a book featuring Alice in Wonderland, the Wizard of Oz and DH Lawrence۪s forest poems. Her 3rd book, Gertrude Stein۪s Salon and other Legends explores the colorful cast of characters of Gertrude and Alice۪s salon that included Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso, and Ezra Pound.
Michael has received awards and sold paintings throughout the United States and abroad.
Laurie has been widely published and awarded for over two decades, received a NJ Poetry Prize for the first poem in the Gertrude Stein book and is the recipient of 48 poetry awards to date.
Join the Byros for a poetry reading and a lively discussion at the Library. Light refreshments will be served.
