    Come join us for a slice of pizza and some brain science!

    Students will learn the facts about basic brain science and how addictive technology like social media and video games affect their developing brains.  They will learn how to build a healthy brain, recognize the warning signs of screen overuse, and be encouraged and excited to live life off screens.

     

    Presented by Heather Franklin. Heather is a Warwick mother of two with a bachelor's degree in physical education (K-12) and a minor in coaching from the University of Central Florida. She has been teaching children since 2000 in a variety of sports such as gymnastics, swimming, rowing, and circus arts. She is passionate about sharing the ScreenStrong message while empowering and supporting families.

    Ages 10 – 18 with or without a parent/caregiver (Please register all those planning to attend.)

    Join Laurie Unick for a presentation featuring photos and insights from her 2022 Appalachian Trail adventure. Delve into an overview of the trail, highlighting encounters with fellow hikers, accommodations, and a glimpse into the essentials she carried during her 5 1/2-month expedition. The session concludes with a Q&A session for further discussion.
