A new and inspiring group of young musicians, Fiddle Frenzy is excited to play their own concert for the community. This local group of talented, young musicians, ranging in age from 7 to 17, will "wow" you with their various styles of fiddling on violin, viola and cello.
Join us for a screening of To Begin the World Over Again: The Life of Thomas Paine as we explore the history of the most misunderstood man in American history. Released in 2016 and written under the guidance of distinguished Paine scholars, the film looks at the misconceptions that have clouded Paine's past and delves into his passion for advocacy.
A discussion, led by Roger Moss, will follow the screening.

Newburgh Chamber Music Ensemble performs "Romantic Music for a Sunday Afternoon," a concert which will feature light-hearted and delightful music by Dvorak, Telemann, Godard, Cui, and Nielsen. Performers are fine regional musicians, including violinist Carole Cowan, oboist Joel Evans, cellist Susan Seligman, and pianist Ruthanne Schempf. Colleagues in the Hudson Valley Philharmonic and at the State University of New York at New Paltz, these musicians have distinguished individual careers as well as a long history of collaboration.
This course will provide an introduction to ASL, the third most commonly-used language in the United States. The Manual Alphabet, deaf culture, basic vocabulary and grammar structure will be the program's focus, with the goal of acquiring the language on a conversational level.
This is an eight-week course; attendance at all sessions is strongly encouraged.
