The League of Women Voters will present The World According to Monsanto, a 2008 documentary film directed by Marie-Monique Robin, on Saturday, May 14 at 2:00pm in the Community Room. The film is based on Robin's three-year investigation into the international practices of the agricultural giant Monsanto Corporation. Monsanto controls most of the yield of the world's genetically-modified corn and soy -- ingredients found in more than ninety-five percent of American households.

During this session, Arlene Prince will address what hypnosis is, what it is not, and the ways in which it can be used successfully. Some common applications include everyday goals such as weight loss, smoking cessation, stress management, and peak performance enhancement for sports, the performing arts and in the workplace. Hypnosis is also used as a complementary therapy for many medical conditions, phobias and fears and all stress-related conditions. Ms. Prince will draw from her practice of hypnosis using actual case histories.
