Leading the vocalist to greater awareness of and mastery over their instrument, this class is a unique and powerful blend of gentle yoga, breath work, mindfulness, and sounding for singers, actors, teachers, speakers, and anyone wanting more comfort, ease, and confidence in using their voice.  The voice is the seat of self-expression and personal power. Re-discover your inate ability to vocalize with confidence, connection and intention. No prior singing experience necessary.  Wear comfortable clothing for movement, bring a yoga mat if you have one, and be prepared to make some noise!  Taught by Jody Weatherstone.

Jody is a classical vocalist, yogi, and voice teacher. Her fascination with the body/mind/spirit connection led her to create this class, which combines her extensive background as a classical soprano and her yoga practice.  Jody has been practicing yoga for over 20 years, and completed her 200-hour teacher training 6 years ago at Vastu. She completed the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Course at the Krame Center at Ramapo College, has been teaching voice to students of all ages for 15 years and has been singing all her life.  Her class is unlike any other yoga class you have taken!
