Strategic Plan Update 2021-2022
During this ongoing public health crisis, the Albert Wisner Public Library has continued to exercise best practices in providing service to to the community while thoughtfully adapting to the constantly-changing guidelines. Our focus remains on providing the community with outstanding patron services and materials.
Updating the Strategic Plan is an important and great responsibility, providing the Library with guidelines to expand services and take responsive action for growth, community engagement, and sustainability.
Living and working through the pandemic has created opportunities to serve the community in new ways. Online and remote programs created were well-received, and returning to in-person programs and experiences is widely enjoyed. Other successful initiatives will continue, such as contactless curbside borrowing, and book and DVD pick-up and delivery for those who are homebound.
When we are able, when the pandemic subsides, the Albert Wisner Public Library will begin the process of crafting a new Strategic Plan, to include input from patrons, focus groups and the general population. In the meantime, the AWPL staff and Board of Trustees shall continue to adapt to COVID-19 restrictions while serving the community with dedication and loyalty and ingenuity.
We are inspired to remain Warwick's favorite place to meet, discover, learn and connect.
