Handsome and well-dressed, woodpeckers are a favorite of many.  Learn to identify by sight and sound 7 woodpecker species common to the Hudson Valley.  We will also cover diet, nesting, anatomy and why woodpeckers are able to hammer on trees without injuring themselves. Learn the differences between drumming, feeding and excavating behaviors, and ways to deter woodpeckers if they’ve chosen your house for these activities. Presented by Pam Golben.
