Find out everything there is to know about volunteering at the Warwick Children's Book Festival!
This year's festival will be held from 11am-4pm on Saturday, October 8th at Stanley-Deming Park. Pick up your t-shirt. Sign up for a shift or 2 (or 3). Learn about what help is needed to set up, work the children's area, assist the authors and illustrators, and help us clean up and take everything down at the end. You must attend the orientation if you want to volunteer at the book festival. Attending the orientation earns you 1 hour of volunteer time!

Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (2020) It would be an empty world without the blues. Based on August Wilson’s 1982 play, it stars Viola Davis, Chadwick Boseman (sadly his last film) and Glynn Turman. Inspired by the career of Ma Rainey, an influential blues singer and the title character, the film dramatizes a turbulent recording session in 1920’s Chicago. Rated R: 1 hour, 34minutes.

Stress and anxiety are feelings we all experience. Though sometimes uncomfortable and overwhelming, stress and anxiety are personally meaningful. Cultivating mindfulness creates space for stress and anxiety to sit more comfortably with us, creating a foundation for getting in touch with their roots. If you are interested in cultivating mindfulness to deal with stress and anxiety, join Anthony Gonzalez, a mental health counseling intern and student at SUNY New Paltz, for weekly group lessons in mindfulness.
