Due to rain, the book festival will be held at Warwick Valley Middle School Gym - 225 West Street.
Calling all the young and young at heart to Warwick Valley Middle School Gym (225 West Street, Warwick) for the 2023 Warwick Children's Book Festival. Dozens of distinguished authors and illustrators of books for children will be on hand to autograph their books (for purchase on site) and talk with their readers. Free admission. Free concert for children by The Uncle Brothers at 12:00, Food Trucks, and kid's craft area. Therapy dogs will be on hand to listen to children read their new books aloud.
The Festival is presented by Albert Wisner Public Library, and sponsored principally by Library benefactors Glenn P. and Susan D. Dickes. The Village of Warwick, Price Chopper of Warwick and the Warwick Valley Farmers' Market also support the Festival.

Eva Conti Alegria, brings a lifetime of musical study and performance to her flamenco dance. Since graduating from the Manhattan School of Music (with a Masters degree in French horn), she has been performing extensively as a professional classical musician on both French horn and guitar in the US and abroad.
Versatile guitarist Ivan Max has been playing, performing and teaching for over 30 years. He combines Flamenco, Classical, Brazilian and Jazz music as well as Pop and Rock music for a unique guitar sound.
Yuka Koyama, “Cantaora” (flamenco singer) is from Osaka Japan and has been studying “baile" (flamenco dance) since 2014 with Eva Conti Alegria, soloist and choreographer with "Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre". She then studied “cante" (flamenco singing) with David Castellano, guitarist/singer of the international flamenco fusion group "Flamenco Flavor". Yuka has a strong passion for flamenco as it conveys our deepest emotions, which we all can empathize with as human beings regardless of our origin and culture
Rex Benincasa has been a freelancing drummer and percussionist in New York since 1978. Along with hundreds of television/radio soundtracks and commercial recordings, he has performed with the Apollo's Fire, Ensemble Caprice, Alba Consort, Flamenco Latino, Carlota Santana Spanish Dance, Andrea Delconte Danza España, Zorongo Flamenco Dance, Pilar Rioja, Amanecer Flamenco Progressivo, American Ballet Theater, Sacramento Ballet, Ballet Austin, the Washington Ballet, and the Merce Cunningham Dance Company.

Come and meet new friends and join in on a game that is played all over the world. Mahjong enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to play every Tuesday from 10am to 1pm. The sessions are open-ended and participants can play as many or as few games as they wish. Players with mahjong sets are encouraged to bring them, as the Library has only a limited number to loan. This program is free, ongoing and open to players from all communities.
