Join us for a deep dive into the Hudson Valley Pollinator Action Guide, a toolkit for protecting native pollinators using locally native plants. Designed for gardeners and land managers, it covers site selection, plant sourcing, project installation, and management, including a detailed plant list for nearly 100 vulnerable pollinators in the Hudson Valley. We'll also discuss practical insights from four case study plantings from 2023.
Presenter Avalon Bunge oversees Partners for Climate Action’s Ecological Restoration Grant program and manages PollinateHV and the Hudson Valley Pollinator Action Guide. She also leads PCA's local ecotype seed propagation with Hudson Valley Seed Company. Avalon holds a BA in Geology from Colgate University, an MS in Ecosystem Restoration from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and is pursuing a PhD in ecological restoration at Antioch University. She lives in Columbia County with her husband, dog, and extensive native plant collection.
